Eisai and EcoNaviSta Forge Business Partnership to Develop a Dementia Care Ecosystem and Initiate Collaboration
Overview
Eisai Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, CEO: Haruo Naito) and EcoNaviSta Inc. (Tokyo, President: Kimihito Watanabe) have formed a strategic alliance to tackle dementia, a significant challenge in Japan’s aging population.
About Eisai
Eisai, a leader in dementia research and awareness, and EcoNaviSta, known for its SaaS-based care home monitoring systems, will collaborate to conduct a proof-of-concept study.
This initiative will combine Eisai’s NouKNOW®, a digital brain health assessment tool, with EcoNaviSta’s Life Rhythm Navi®, a system that analyzes health data from sleep and lifestyle patterns, along with EcoNaviSta’s patented Dementia Prediction Model (JP Patent 7017740).
Collab to Detect Early Signs of Cognitive Decline
Many elderly individuals in Japan move to independent living facilities while still relatively healthy, which can result in extended stays with minimal interaction with care staff.
This often delays the detection of cognitive issues such as Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or dementia.
The collaboration aims to use these tools to identify early signs of cognitive decline, potentially detecting MCI and dementia before they advance significantly.
Additionally, the partnership will explore the potential use of the dementia prediction model in home care settings.
Eisai’s Mission
Eisai’s mission is to prioritize patient needs and enhance healthcare outcomes through innovation and collaboration.
The company focuses on neurology, oncology, and global health, with a goal of addressing unmet medical needs through partnerships and new solutions.
EcoNaviSta’s Objective
EcoNaviSta’s objective is to improve health and well-being through advanced sleep analysis technology.
Their AI model, which predicts health changes based on detailed sleep and lifestyle data, plays a key role in their services.
They are committed to advancing digital solutions in nursing care and addressing societal challenges with their technology.
This partnership between Eisai and EcoNaviSta is dedicated to advancing dementia care and developing a supportive ecosystem for those affected by cognitive decline.
