Belgian biotech innovator AmphiStar, known for 100% upcycled microbial biosurfactants, and Kensing, a leading North American producer of high-purity surfactants and plant-based vitamin E, have entered a strategic partnership.
As part of this collaboration, AmphiStar’s next-generation biosurfactants, produced via microbial fermentation of repurposed agri-food side streams, will be launched in North America exclusively by Kensing.
Kensing will collaborate with AmphiStar to develop regionally sourced circular feedstocks from biobased waste and sidestreams, including plant oils from Kensing’s own production. Plans include fully onshoring production in the U.S. to reduce emissions and build a resilient, decentralized supply chain.
